Meh, only affects mods. Unimportant.

Looking at it with different browsers, I definitely see some things that need fixing.

I am not however able to duplicate dready's problem.

Using FF, IE and Chrome, I have no problem at all with mod buttons at the bottom of the page.

The only browser that gives me problems there is Opera and in my case, I'm not seeing those buttons at all.

Also, I just realized that none of the icons associated with membergroups are showing up in this theme.

As I said before, it's a work in progress.

Yeah, this is how it looks for me in Opera while logged in as an admin.

The only thing I see wrong is the Gatling gun icon for mods isn't showing up.

BTW, there are enough folks around here who use Opera that I certainly want whatever theme we end up with to be fully functional with Opera but I'm not seeing a problem on my end.

Here's a copy and paste of what Opera has to say about the version I'm using.

Version
10.00

Build
1750

Win32

So, I figured out what I was doing wrong before.

With that, the skulls are back and from there, I think I will let things here be and  work on a final theme elsewhere and then copy it over here.

I know the little image that indicates a new post needs work as does the quote boxes.

Please let me know anything else that needs attention.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the images for the various membergroups are all kinds of fucked.

That is also on the list of thing to fix.

Yeah, the smilies are back.

I also just got back Richo's custom images for the various membergroups and the "new" icon for new posts.

I decided to go retro and use the spinning one from the old Knuck.

That should make Lorddread happy.  :-*

Something else, I know a lot of the members here are tech minded but just want to mention something that I just tripped over myself.

Make sure you're viewing the latest version of the theme by clearing your browser cache.

For those who don't know, you do that by hitting Ctrl+F5.

As I said, I just tripped over that one myself and so I thought I'd give it a mention.

For those running Opera, I haven't changed anything that will help with the complaints you had but I'll have a look.

LOL Jamie.. your a dead set legend mate  :)

and i wouldnt say there a complaint really, more of an observation, or an answer to your question of does anyone see anything wrong , and given that your testing this, it would be unfair to complain about stuff, specialy a bit of a dodgy formatting/color glitch.

Yeah, that is a little odd, a glitch in the theme I think - does just the same thing here in Chrome.

Okies, well I'm really not seeing much difference.

I've had a look with FF 4.0, IE 8, Opera 11.5 and Chrome 12.0.742.112. All running on 32 bit Win 7.

Yeah, I can see slight differences in how different browsers are rendering the CSS but I honestly can't see anything to bitch about.

For anyone who does want to bitch, screenies would be helpful.  ::w

Don't take the "bitching" comment too seriously.

I didn't mean it to be having a go at you.  :-*

I've already seen some of that in my own tests but in the end it comes down to a bit of color fade.

In all four browsers I tried, all of the functionality is there, the only difference is a bit of change in how it looks.

FF is rendering it the way I THINK it was meant to be in that it starts off as gray on black and fades to black on black.

I can try to get the same thing to happen with the other browsers but I can't make any promises.

I'm only doing this in the first place because I enjoy Knuck and I think Richo is a top bloke and since I do have the time I wanted to help him out.

Chrome really is a bit polarising, not as flash as Opera but damned quick :)

All looks pretty good to me now :)

Messages is about the last thing it would be nice to have a short-cut to on the toolbar.

Yeah, I would prefer to have a my messages link on the top of the page.

I also neither like nor understand why the designer of this theme decided to stick the profile and admin buttons where they are.

I can look at moving some things around but that's a code hack and as I told Richo, while I do know my way around SMF, I'm no code monkey.

I'm working on tweaking the CSS.

Specifically aiming at the look for stickied topics and locked topics.

It's going to look like shit until I get it sorted and so bare with me.

I've  tweaked the CSS  regarding how the locked and stickied topics look.

I've only looked at it with FF and so I'd appreciate feedback, especially from those using other browsers.

Please let me know if you notice any missing images so that I can fix them on the next theme update.

For example, under my name where there's a flaming bike. Everyone should have something there.

If you just see an * or a X then there's a image that hasn't made it over into the new theme.

A further refined version of the new theme is now up.

I replaced the spinning "new" icon with the skull one Rybags did for us.

I also added some of Richo's custom graphcis from the old theme that hadn't made it over to this one.

Oh and in one that maybe of interest to the Opera fanbois, I think I figured out the solution to your problem with the background color at the bottom of the page.

How does it look now?
