wanted - your old DDR ram
« on: July 31, 2009, 03:21:57 PM »

Has anyone got  some DDR they want to part with ?

Specifically I'm looking for 512meg of DDR 333/266/200, speed is not a concern as long as it works.

Cheers, Richo.

Richo,
I'm not sure if this is what you want but
I've got 512 that I took out of my Compaq and replaced it with 2GB
The label on the  on the 2 GB says Type DDR@667mhz 200pin
.
If this makes sense to you and the 2GB that I put in went where the 512 came out  you can have it.
That computer died and is with Chris who is still trying to recover the data for me. My new one has 4GB so this is
just sitting in my desk drawer.

Cheers Kate :)

Thanks Kate but that 512 stick you have is a little too new for the older build I'm doing. Bugger !~

I need some DDR that is 200mhz, 266mhz or 333mhz and 184pin

I THINK my old, died without my permission desktop used DDR, but I can't say for sure without cracking it open.

If it did and it helps, I'd be happy to send it your way.

I do plan on resurrecting that PC and showing it that computers are not allowed to die without permission, BUT it needs a new mobo and so I'll be going with newer RAM as well.

 :)

No problem...But, I have a few too many balls in the air at the moment...

Give it a couple of days and then either bump this thread or send me a PM. I'm 99% certain my old desktop RAM is what you're looking for, but without a reminder, I'll forget all about it.  :-*

Got to love Amazon....

In early 2006 I paid $50+ for a RAM upgrade on my old desktop. The same RAM is now selling for $22.37

Anyway, if this is what you're looking for, then I have that exact RAM stick in my old desktop and another one very similar to it, but if I recall korektlie, not the same speed.

I hear Chris spends a lot of time trying to "recover data."
