WTB: Socket 754 mobo
« on: April 28, 2007, 06:22:07 PM »
Ages ago, a mate slung me a dead 754 mobo with a Sempron 2.8...

I've had it lying around gathering dust for way too long... problem is, I'm not entirely sure whether the CPU is still ok, so I don't wanna blow too much dough.

So if you've got one kicking around and you're in Melbourne, lemme know, huh?

I'm also interested to hear from interstate peeps, but I'd rather just be able to pick it up than having to pay postage.

I'd tend not to invest more than $30 in such dead tech.

I'm kinda kicking myself for going 939 - seems it will cost me buckets to upgrade my 3500+ to an X2.

But, I shouldn't complain - this machine is a deadset dream so far as low heat/noise + stabilty goes as compared to the old XP.
