The Wisemans Pub.

This old Pub is entirely built from huge sandstone blocks and is full of character. The original building was built in 1826 by Soloman Wiseman himself and much of it still remains inside more modern renovations.

Waiting for lunch to be cooked.

Foxy records card three for everyones hand.

Old mate choosing his card.

Mog knocks one back.

After a hearty lunch washed down with a cold beer, another card was drawn and it was time to saddle up.

More switchbacks and twisties on the climb out of Wisemans were fun and the crew headed for our next stop in Richmond, one of Sydneys oldest and Northernmost suburbs (route 65). Another pub stop at R.G McGee's and another poker card were had by all and when we were leaving the first casualty appeared.

Sporty dropped his candy red sportster right outside the pub whilst sitting on it (poor bastard). He was trying to get the steering lock off while sitting on the bike and when his footing slipped... over she went, with Sporty still sitting on it !!

A few of the boys reckoned we had our very own Dudley (Wild Hogs) on the run !!

Luckily, the only damage to his bike was a snapped off ignition key and to everyone's amazement she fired right up and kept going strong all weekend... awesome !

A few of the bikes out front of R.G. McGees.

From Richmond the pack powered up over the wonderful Bells line of Road to Lithgow and let me tell you, this has got to be one of my favorite roads in the whole country (route 40). For anyone who rides, you simply cannot fail to be impressed by the majesty of the scenery from the ridgeline, the high speed sweepers, the wonderful smells from the many orchards dotting the way or the fantastic road surface.

The pack split in two here with the fast men going for it at warp factor nine in no holds barred slicing and dicing and the cruising crew just thundering away, enjoying themselves immensely along its 50 mile length.

The rain was still holding off !

The Tattersall's Hotel in Lithgow saw the last poker cards drawn and the winners declared (well done boys). Spilling out all over the footpath in front of the pub we couldn't help but notice the same squad car driving backwards and forwards past us... over and over.... some things never change eh ?
